Minutes of the Extraordinary Meeting held by ZOOM on Tuesday 22.06.21

3. To co-opt a parishioner to fill the Council vacancy caused by the recently uncontested election and the resignation of Cllr Mrs H. Reeves.
The two applicants present were Mr George Clegg-Littler and Mr Gareth Jones.
The Chairman explained the portfolios for which each Councillor was responsible in addition to normal Council duties and said that the successful applicant would look after the village environment which covered the cleanliness, tidiness etc of the Parish.
After the applicants left the meeting the Clerk asked each of the councillors to name their preferred candidate. The person co-opted by a majority of 3 to 2 was Mr George Clegg – Littler.
The Clerk said he would contact the applicants immediately and notify the Wiltshire Electoral Office.
The meeting closed at 7.30 pm
